Q. How is American Homestay Network (AHN-USA) different from any other American homestay company?
A. Our mission is to provide the safest, most successful homestay experiences for our students. We understand the concerns and issues from the perspectives of families, educators, and agents. Our company was formed by a team of seasoned professionals who are all dedicated to the successful outcome of each and every homestay experience, and we have the systems, processes, and approach in place to realize our own objectives, as well as those of the students, hosts, agents, and educators.
We accomplish this goal through our proprietary processes of selecting and approving host families and matching students with hosts, as well as through our provision of online training for hosts and students to prepare them for this unique multicultural experience. AHN-USA provides more than a room for rent; we are raising homestay standards across the country.
AHN-USA provides a comprehensive suite of services that extends to everyone affiliated with our company. Our agents, students, educators, and hosts all have private access to a communication portal, ensuring that we can efficiently and effectively manage the complexities of a national homestay business.
Q. What are the benefits of working with AHN-USA?
A. Agents who work with AHN-USA receive the benefits of decades of accumulated experience, as well as the processes and systems that the Australian Homestay Network ( AHN-AU) has developed over the years.
We understand the importance of successful homestay placements for your international students. For many students, a homestay is the best way to achieve both language and cultural immersion as they launch their studies in America.
AHN-USA has secured a long-term exclusive global license for the HMS™ (Host Management System) technology used by the Australian Homestay Network. This system provides private access to track your students' progress with their applications, their homestay host matches, and their arrivals, as well as a complete history of all communications that relate to their homestay experiences. The system automatically makes routine email contact with students and hosts to ensure that the homestay is going smoothly. We conduct exit interviews with students and hosts to support our continued-learning philosophy.
Q. What is your relationship to the Australian Homestay Network (AHN-AU) company?
A. AHN-USA was created in partnership with AHN-AU in order to bring their industry best practices to America. We are separate companies that share some common board members and the same vision and goals.
Q. Does AHN-USA accept students of all ages, in all types of programs?
A. Our launch plan is focused primarily on educational institutions that will accept students who are entering post-secondary programs; these students are generally at least 18 years old. However, some hosts prefer to house younger students, so if this is your market, please contact us directly for more information.
