A Successful Student Experience Starts With a Great Homestay
Homestay Students Are More Likely To Achieve Academic Goals
At the American Homestay Network (AHN), our education partners often tell us that students who were welcomed into the country by one of our trained hosts were more likely to succeed in their academic program than those who did not have the same support. We know that a positive student experience starts with the right welcome and hosted accommodation experience, so we select and match our students and hosts with the utmost care.
AHN Hosts Serve As Ambassadors
Our selection process ensures that our hosts possess the commitment, motivation, and capability to extend the support that will ensure each student’s successful integration into American culture. Our hosts offer much more than welcoming accommodation; they offer a support system and authentic interest in welcoming a student to the USA as well as helping the older and more independent student find appropriate and safe long-term accommodation if required.
How Our Homestays Work
The American Homestay Network (AHN) matches each student with a host family located as close as possible to the student’s education provider. The host provides the student with a private bedroom and an agreed upon meal plan. They also assist them in learning the local customs and transportation systems, as well as generally helping the student become acquainted with the American lifestyle. Students are encouraged to share information about their home cultures and countries. Our hosts also enjoy the opportunity of a unique cultural experience.
Our concierge service ensures your student’s homestay experience is focused on success from start to finish. This is achieved through our unique operating systems, 24/7 support and attention to detail when addressing any student issues if they arise.
“Having Nina stay over for the month has been an amazing experience. She is very sweet and I feel like I have made a new friend. I go to PSU and I am very close in age with Nina; therefore, I believe we have been able to create a bond because of our common interests.”
